Avengers Baseball Townsville was founded in 2014 by the Baseball Association Townsville as a development team aimed to created a pathway for Juniors to progress into the senior competition. The team is targeted to 16-20 year olds however younger players with high ability will be considered after being assessed as well as older players just starting out.

With the growing numbers of Townsville Juniors, its is hoped that within 3 years, the Avengers will be a pure Under 20s team and also double as the Townsville U-20 rep side.
